Senate
Friday's Action:
During business Friday, the Senate took the following actions:
  • Passed S. 1335, the "Pilot's Bill of Rights".
  • Passed S. Con. Res. 51, Adjournment Resolution.
  • Passed H.R. 6064, to provide an extension of Federal-aid highway, highway safety, motor carrier safety, transit, and other programs funded out of the Highway Trust Fund pending enactment of a multiyear law reauthorizing such programs.
  • Passed S. 2165, the "United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act".
  • Passed S. 3238, the "David F. Winder Department of Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic".
  • Passed S. Res. 376, commemorating the 225th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the United States.
  • Passed S. 3363, to provide for the use of National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center Commemorative Coin surcharges.
  • Passed S. 2239, the "Veteran Skills to Jobs Act".
  • Resumed consideration of the motion to proceed to consideration of S. 2237, the "Small Business Jobs and Tax Relief Act". A motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to consideration was introduced, and a vote on cloture will occur at approximately 2:25 PM on Tuesday, July 10.
  • Agreed to the conference report to accompany H.R. 4348, by a vote of 74 yeas to 19 nays.

  • Passed H.R. 6064, the "Temporary Surface Transportation Extension Act of 2012".
  • Passed S. Con. Res. 51, Adjournment Resolution.
